Indie Spotlight Review: J-Flo- Not Of This World

Photobucket

With a cover similar to Trip Lee’s “20/20” and a topic tackled by Everyday Process in “Outtadisworld,” J-Flo’s 2nd album addresses the all-too-common theme titled “Not Of This World.” The album (even though the album cover needs some serious work) shows immense quality in production, message, and earnestness that makes for a good listen. Alongside other rappers who continue to impress me (ex. Lil’ Dre & Young Chozen) J-Flo shows that despite a need for continual lyrical depth and maturity, younger rappers have what it takes to make good music.
